Both healers (and some tanks) run Energy orbs. These are used in 3 situations:
2 for a clump of players it doubles as a powerful HoT
3 one lone player out by himself in the distance (i.e., ranged dps in the Mage)
4 high damage situations
This is the only skill that requires skill (haha). Using these effectively takes a lot of practice (or just really good spatial reasoning I suppose). It requires a balance between knowledge of mechanics, timing, and geography. Orbs head directly in front of you so face your camera in the direction you want to set each off. I don’t consider these a valid source of resource return; that’s what shards are for—Orbs are for big heals. Besides, they’re on the move so the synergy is notoriously temperamental anyway.
